For regulation of the traffic we need traffic lights, no doubt about it. But most of them need to be adjusted. Some so called intelligent traffic lights are programmed to optimize traffic flow, but in fact when there is hardly any traffic the traffic lights are showing a red light for all sites. Only when a vehicle drives over a sensor (a coil in the road) the light will turn green. But the harm is already done, first you have seen the red light and slowed down your vehicle, so you have to accelerate again burning extra and expensive fuel that pollutes our environment. When there is hardly any traffic just keep the traffic lights green for the main traffic stream, this will save fuel and the environment! ...
